The History Behind C.R.Visuals
In 1993 Bell Sygma asked Caroline de Gruchy to investigate the internet for potential. After filing her report, she started her own multimedia company with an emphasis on business websites.
Caroline's background in anthropology proved valuable in responding to the needs and changing culture of the web. Her experience in publishing led her to recognize that layout was as important as content and that usability was crucial to the value a site had for visitors and owners alike.
In 1998 C.R. Visuals hired Clive Bilewitz to develop a 3D department. His background in electronics combined with his expertise in modeling led the company into 3D reconstructions of forensic scenes, historical material culture, and product conceptualization.
The company has since moved Head Office to Kitchener and hired additional staff. It maintains a branch office in Toronto. C.R. Visuals continues to operate with a large virtual staff hired on a per project basis.
Our in-house staff of 9 includes graphic artists, a marketing consultant and programmers. Their varied educational backgrounds include robotics, physics, history, and videography, adult education, business skills and anthropology. < read more on the staff >
