Company

In 1993 Bell Sygma asked Caroline de Gruchy to investigate the internet for potential. After filing her report, she started her own multimedia company. Given her knowledge of and experience in digital communications and business, she soon found a niche developing business websites.

Clive Bilewitz and Caroline de Gruchy are committed to lifelong learning in the fiels of new media and 3D design. Caroline's background in social anthropology proved valuable in responding to the needs and changing culture of the web. Her background in publishing led her to recognize that layout was as important as content, and that usability was crucial to a site's value.

However, Caroline's main interest was in creating the web as an interactive space where she could use her creative energies to help people share ideas.

We Expand into 3D

In 1998 C.R. Visuals hired 3D modeler Clive Bilewitz to develop a 3D department. His background in electronics soon brought us jobs creating animations of machinery for training and tradeshows. The two directors also found shared interests in history and forensics leading them to experiment in the area of 3D reconstructions of past events.

Today

The company moved its Head Office to Kitchener in 2004. We continue to operate with a virtual staff hired on a per-project basis from a pool of experts living in the GTA and southern Ontario. We support life-long learning and continuously upgrade our own core skills.

We also continue to indulge our individual and shared passions for digital media through experimentation with new technology. Currently, we are playing with websites that permit users to navigate 3D environments and share information, such as recipes, based on values, such as allergies. We also continue to develop the 3D scanner that allows us to create 3D models in a fraction of the time it takes to build them by hand and with much greater accuracy. And we are actively involved in helping clients take advantage of social media.
