Website Assessments
Discover whether your site is working for you. We offer a variety of levels of website assessment.
- Free. Drop in to the Drop-in-Design centre and tell us what you want your website to achieve.
We'll give you a quick 15 minute assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your site.
- Usability assessment at $10/page using profiles generated on information you provide.
- Usability study using surveys and live interviews with selected individuals and groups (pricing varies, please ask for details)
The quick and free assessment is based on the impressions of one of our web developers going into your site as a casual visitor. This will provide you with some general information regarding aesthetics, ease of navigation and optimization. consistency, and coherency.
In-depth assessments start with your target audience in mind and consider your company's message and the purpose of the site. We spend considerable time looking through each page to discover if
- the copy is clear and up-to-date,
- the graphics are clean and load quickly
- the pages optimized for downloading and for search engines
- whether the disabled can access your site.
There are 2 levels of assessment available.
- Usability Assessment. We profile your ideal clients and address your site accordingly. Is the navigation appropriate? Is the information they are likely to want, easy to find? Does it answer their questions? Is it easy to read and understand? Is it compelling?
- Usability Study. In-depth assessments of your site involve interviewing and surveying real customers to find out if they are hearing your message and to learn what specifically, they want from your site.
Assessments can be performed at any stage of a website's development cycle. Many companies repeat the assessment a number of times through the project and then on an annual basis after completion to look for areas to tweak, add, or re-build.
